JSE provided construction engineering services on this 2-span prestressed concrete bulb tee bridge that utilized accelerated bridge construction (ABC). ABC was accomplished by constructing the superstructure on temporary falsework adjacent to the bridge while the substructure was constructed underneath the existing bridge.

In a weekend closure the existing bridge was demolished, and the new superstructure was slid over to its permanent position and opened to traffic at the end of the weekend. Independent operations were completed for the NB and SB structures.

JSE provided the bridge structure move engineering which included:

• Step-by-step manual of the bridge superstructure move operations.
• Drawings and calculations for all hardware required for the move.
• Plan modifications to the permanent structure to accomplish the move.
• Geometry Control Plan.
• Independent check of all temporary falsework.
